Elite Miami (yay) and Milwaukee

old picture >but Miami is amazinggggggg!
This week i got to go to Miami!! I miss that place... i love LA but i miss my agents... Lily, Nienke, Lyndzee, Steve, Paolo, Allee... i miss you all (even if Lily isn't there anymore). Anyway, i went for a job and they gave me these fake nails... They look great in pictures but i HATE fake nails; the glue completely butchers your nail beds-grr
After the job i was walking to my agency and it started POURING RAIN. Worst 10 minute storm ever... i was outside for 10 seconds and i had a free shower. This is the aftermath... poor cars.
After my agency i went to visit one of my favorite people in the whole world... Salah, he took such good care of me when i lived in Miami. Such a wonderful person. Anyway, he rushed me to the airport and my flight was delayed-so annoying. I wanted to get home to see Ryan sooo badly. They told me i'd probably have to spend the night in Charlotte-thanks but no thanks. Therefore... i practiced my bsing skills and told them that...

Giant Planes and Food

Sometimes i'm really really really lucky and don't have to fly coach or first class or go through security at all and we get to fly private... It's a blissful moment and i wouldn't mind flying for 4 hours on this thing. Unfortunately we were only flying to San Fran from LA so it was a mere 50 minutes and too early.

Giants fans are soooooo energetic (in a good way) and the Stadium has a Ghiradhelli Shop in the park so... that means that i sit there for 3 hours trying to resist the urge to eat a huge ice cream sunday with their homemade fudge. Sad.
I'm not a huge fan of the city of San Fran however... The homeless people are so angry, rude, and bold. Our hotel was downtown and apparently close to 'the tenderloin' which, btw is where all the crackheads live so i'm not exaggerating the level of craziness that was there. We went to dinner on Saturday night at our hotel given the fact that even name dropping couldn't get me a table for more than 5 people at 6:30 for a 7 o clock dinner. However, i was extremely pleased by the grub. mmm

Utah Friends, San Diego, and an off Day

Saturday Rachael came to visit and we went out to Sushi Roku in Santa Monica. She is another example of someone that claims they don't like sushi because they've only ever been to Happy Sumo (a Utah sushi restaurant). She claims she likes 'Chicken Sushi', which is not really sushi so we ordered fish and boy did she like it. Due to the fact that i'm no party animal i spent the remainder of the night in bed and Rachael in a club, running out of gasoline, pushing a car up a hill in heels, meeting new people, and experiencing a dramatic ATM machine failure...i love her for this.
Anyway, Off to San Diego where the weather lets just say... lacked warmth? Joe and I were watching together during the 1st game when R hit his 5th HR of the season, we were ecstatic. Then on to his 3rd and 4th at bat... HR's both times (that's 3 so far) then in his 5th at bat hit a triple, thus making it the first 3 Home Run game for Petco Park and of Ryan's career.
Hurray!

The next 2 days were spent sitting at the miserable games that we did not win-- oh and tripping over the bleacher seats in my high heels. Three bruises later Joe tells me he thought it was an old lady falling (that's how bad i went down).  Awesome.

R accompanied me on the nonstop drive back to LA (minus the in-n-out) for the Thursday off day. We had breakfast at Coogies and i made Chicken Parm for lunch. In regards to my chicken park i heard that  it "confuses the taste buds." This is the nice way of saying, 'i don't like it, don't make it again.' Thank you for the honesty babe.
I found these at CVS in our escapade for a Mothers Day Card... love them.

Engagements and Cooking Lessons, horray

Screen shot from tart... i wish i could show you the rest! I love the Holiday Line!!!!

5.1.13. sugar day.

So... due to my boredom and amount of free time i have when i'm traveling and sitting in an airport i tend to google things and therefore i started reading different blogs on sugar... i found one in particular that i loved about a woman who had gone without refined sugar for 4 years (myyearwithout.blogspot.com). She posted the video below from a 60 minutes segment on sugar. I highly suggest you watch even a minute of it and listen to the reaction from the Sugar Association (embarrassing)

some facts:

Americans on average consume 1/3 of a pound of sugar a day.  However, if i said that Americans on average consume 1/3 of a pound of fat a day you would've puked. Sad, because ya know, its pretty much the same darn thing. In the words of Alisha Meek, my make up artist last week, 'white bread is recognized by the body as sugar which turns into fat which just gives you a fat a$$'; she is so wise.

So as of today, for one year, i'm saying goodbye to refined sugars and saying hello to...
